Posche Fashion Show 2012

The annual Posche Fashion Show was held at the Brownstone last night. Glitz and glamour were in attendance, but Housewives were not, and I think Posche Boutique owner Kim DePaola “Kim D” was happy to have it that way. “She didn’t advertise this year,” said an attendee who was coming to the show for the fourth year in a row. Despite the lack of advertising, the place was still packed wall to wall. It appeared to be a sold out show as guests filled the long tables divided by a runway down the center.
When I spoke to Kim about attending she said, “Anything can happen, look at last year,” but this year was happily drama free, giving her fashions the center of attention. We witnessed a lot of eighties influenced style, and some appearances of Housewife looks, like Teresa’s sequined dress from last year’s show, which came down the runway in gold. Many of the cocktail dresses were very short, and though the models looked great, I don’t know if I would have the confidence to wear a dress that requires me to get a bikini wax. There were some looks I spotted though that I could see myself in, specifically a black number with silver accents on the sides. Kim looked fabulous in a fitted white and gold lame dress. She was very excited and spent a large part of the evening taking pictures with fans in front of the step and repeat. Though The Housewives  didn’t make it this year, one of their husbands did, as Albert Manzo, owner of the Brownstone peeked in at one point and caused a little bit of an amateur photog frenzy.  This was indeed Kim’s night to shine, and show that, if you want to dress like a New Jersey Housewife Posche Boutique in Wayne, NJ is the place to shop!
