Kim D Opens Posche 2

Tara and Kim D

Last night was the grand opening of Kim D (DePaola)’s newest Posche store. Like the original, Posche 2 (at 74 Ridgewood Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ) houses high end designer duds with that special flair that you can only find in New Jersey. There to help her celebrate was her mother, Dottie, her assistants, and the entire Real Housewives of New Jersey cast. The chic space is housed at Moxie Salon, so Housewives (and Husbands) got treated to makeup and hair touch ups throughout the night. I managed to snag a little help myself when my lipstain navigated to my chin…oops.

It was an exciting evening as the guest list was very exclusive. Our entire TBB team was invited. Brent, Jaime and I were dressed up and ready to party. Onlookers outside the shop were dying to get a peek. In fact, when Brent and Jaime went outside to get some air they were asked to take pictures with a bunch of strangers who were beyond excited to witness a glimpse of a HW filming.

The first person we saw, besides Kim, was Heather Robinson, who was sporting a new bob. Looking stunning as always, she really is a knockout, she wasn’t as confident about her role in the upcoming season. “I laid kind of low this season,” she confessed. “I don’t really know if I’ll even make it on.”

One person sure of her role is Melissa Gorga who is not only excited about Season 5, but her long awaited book. “I’m an author now,” Melissa told us. Her book, Love Italian Style, will hit the shelves mid-September.

Mel G isn’t the only excited NJ HW author. Caroline Manzo, who just released her book Let Me Tell You Something admitted she hasn’t even gotten to see hers on the shelf. When an excited fan outside said, “I saw your book at Barnes and Noble today,” Caroline laughed and said “I haven’t even had a chance to go see it yet!” Caroline is about to begin a book tour so keep a close eye on her Twitter and website for dates in your area.

Jacqueline Laurita and I discussed her children. “Ashlee is still in LA, doing well. Nick has his good days and bad days. CJ has been such a wonderful big brother and helps him a lot. I am so proud of CJ…he’s 10 now!” Jac continues to raise awareness for Autism Speaks. Throughout April Cafface, Lauren Manzo’s beauty bar, is giving out blue hair extensions for a $10 donation. I will be heading there in the next few weeks to get mine, plus help celebrate the shop’s one year anniversary!

Kathy Wakile continues to be the sweetheart we’ve come to know her as, in more ways than one. She recently held an event at Dylan’s Candy Bar in NY to promote her cannolis and is heading to their Florida and California shops as well.

The only Housewife we did not catch up with was Teresa Giudice, who seemed less approachable than usual. Perhaps she had a nervous sixth sense about how the evening would end. All I can say is… HOLY COW WATCH SEASON 5!

Blind Item: Which Housewife had me touch her stomach to feel the evidence of a tummy tuck she had 10 years ago?

Reality Roundup

Faye Resnick (Source: Jason Merritt/Getty Images)

It’s been a week full of divorce, rekindling friendships, and some made-for-TV drama.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be getting quite the makeover for Season 4 as yet another housewife bites the dust in the 90210.

Faye Resnick will not be accepting the offer to become a full-time cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills next season. In fact, Radar Online is reporting that Faye, who has been a recurring cast member on the series for the past three seasons, does not even want to appear on the show in the future.

“Faye is a tough cookie, so for her to say that things have become so bad that she is finished with the show, is a big development,” a source tells Radar. “She’s a very successful interior designer and being on the show is just bad for business — not to mention the fact that Faye says it is ruining her life.”

“After the episodes aired in which she got into an argument with Brandi Glanville and Lisa Vanderpump, Faye started getting all these hateful, nasty tweets — it was just absolutely shocking to her that people are so emotionally invested in the show, and are bold enough to say such ugly and mean things,” the source continued.

As we reported a few weeks back, Faye was a possible replacement for Adrienne Maloof who left the show earlier this month.

“Producers are extremely disappointed Faye won’t be back next season because the drama is ratings gold — but, quite frankly, it just isn’t worth it for her to be on the show.”

Resnick’s decision to not return isn’t the only headache producers of the show have to deal with. Part-time Beverly Hills housewife, Marisa Zanuck may not return for Season 4 either.

In her official Bravo blog, Marisa hinted that she will not partake in the next season of the show.

“In truth, I have moved past all of the drama, and I don’t want to acknowledge it anymore,” Marisa wrote on Monday (March 25). “This is my final blog and I want to dedicate it to all of you that have supported me immensely throughout this experience.”

“I don’t think anyone or anything can prepare someone for becoming a part of the Housewives,” she said. “A Housewife must be many things: she must be media-savvy and tech-savvy. She must think about what she says and its potential impact, she must have a thick skin to handle the constructive criticism and a sense of humor about her to enjoy the creativity of the many writers that blog the show. A Housewife must also recognize that she is not perfect and be willing to learn from her mistakes. If 10,000 people are telling you that you are being a b***h, they can’t all be wrong”

Although Marisa wrote her blog with a sense of finality, she took to Twitter to answer our suspicions:

However, Marisa’s departure of the show isn’t the only question we have about her this week. On a recent episode of RHOBH, we witnessed Marisa ask Kyle Richards‘s husband, Mauricio Umansky to co-list the sale of  her in-laws’ mega-million dollar mansion. However, according to reports from The Wall Street Journal, the property sold for $20.1 million with Marisa listed as the sole realtor of the property!

Was the co-listing staged for the show, or did Marisa and Mauricio have a falling out?

“The reports of a falling out are not true,” Marisa’s rep told Reality TV Magazine. “Marisa and Mauricio discussed the co-listing opportunity at length, and it was determined that Marisa would sell the home on her own. There are no hard feelings.”

Sounds like a staged production to me!

NeNe Leakes may have given her ex-husband a second chance when the couple got re-engaged this past New Years, but will NeNe mend the sorry rifts with her ex-best-friend Kim Zolciak?

Not only does the housewife turned actress want to bare no malice with her former Real Housewives of Atlanta castmate, but she’s inviting her to her upcoming wedding!

“[Kim’s] invited to my wedding, and I believe she’ll come,” NeNe told In Touch in an interview. “I’m extending an olive branch.”

The duo recently made up during the filming of the three part RHOA reunion. Part one of the reunion special will air April 7th on Bravo. I am so happy about this, y’all!

Kordell and Porsha Stewart (Source: Dream Design Weddings)

Atlanta’s season five newcomer, Porsha Stewart was completely blindsided this week when husband Kordell Stewart filed for divorce after less than two years of marriage.

According to TMZ, the former Pittsburgh Steelers star filed divorce papers in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia on Friday, March 22. The filing says his marriage to Porsha is “irretrievably broken.”

“Mrs. Stewart is disappointed about her husband’s recent filing for divorce,” Porsha’s rep told Us Weekly. “Mrs. Stewart had held off on filing for a divorce herself and remained committed to the marriage because Mr. Stewart promised to work on the marriage with her. Instead, he misled her and she found out about the filing in the media. Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith.”

The divorce papers claim that Porsha should not be entitled to any spousal support because she is highly capable of earning her own income. However, Porsha is opening up a whole new can of worms—firing back at her now estranged husband claiming she sacrificed two years of her life to take care of Kordell’s son from a previous relationship! Claiming she left her job and even sold her business to take care of him!

Not only is Porsha demanding alimony from Kordell, she is also seeking full ownership of their Atlanta home!

After a season filled with debates over having children and having a career, the couple’s split isn’t a surprise to fans of the show. Porsha made it clear throughout the season that if the couple were to have children, she wanted to be a working mother; however, Kordell only wanted Porsha to be a typical—for lack of a better word—housewife.

This is going to be one messy divorce!

The filming for the fifth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is almost a wrap, however our sources have revealed that there are still some cameras following the ladies!

One of them being star of the show, Melissa Gorga! Melissa is dishing on all the secrets to keeping her marriage alive and joyous in her first book, Love Italian Style: The Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage which hits shelves September 17th.

Although Bravo has not yet announced a premiere date for the upcoming season of RHONJ, we guess that the loving ladies of The Garden State will be back this May!

Fans of The Real Housewives of Miami are sure to be happy that the ladies of The Sunshine State will be returning for a third season! Although the announcement has not been officially made by Bravo, the show’s production company hinted in a tweet that filming has already begun.

But are the Miami housewives the ONLY reality stars in Florida? Not for long!

Tulloch Media Communications, Inc. has released a reality television show pilot based out of south Florida. The Real Housewives type show entitled, The Real Caribbean Wives of South Florida “was produced to feature Caribbean wives living in South Florida and across the states, raising families, balancing marriage, career/business, living the American Dream with a cultural difference trying to fit in.”  (

Although Andy Cohen is the master-mind behind all of the Real Housewives shows, something tells me he won’t be involved with this one.

Speaking of the Bravo bigwig, Andy visited The TODAY Show on Friday and was put in the hot seat when asked who his favorite housewife is.

“That is horrible! That is a terrible question,” Andy responded. “I would get in terrible trouble. … I love when any of them really succeed.”

“You know, NeNe Leakes is going through a major period of success — from, of course, The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” he shared. “She’s got a starring role in The New Normal on NBC. I’m especially proud of her right now.”

So it is pretty clear Andy has a soft spot for Ms. Leakes. But who is his least favorite housewife?

“Oh, yes! Let me tell everybody about it,” Andy joked. “Yes! Let me rank my top five least favorite Housewives for you right now. No! Love them all for different reasons.”

Heather Dubrow – Miss Congeniality

imageOnce voted the “nicest” person in New York, Heather Dubrow was also voted “too New York” for The Real Housewives of Orange County. Having been passed over by producers for Season 5 she was called again for Season 7. Despite her East Coast black wardrobe and lack of highlights and self tanner, she’s quickly become a RHOC fan favorite. Notoriously the only Housewife I claimed to “dislike”, I recently caught up with Heather to find out more about Orange County’s dark horse and why she’s winning over OC fans, everywhere.

TBB: Many people may not know you have a pageant history. Tell us about it:

HD: (laughs) Oh my…I went to Syracuse (University) as a musical theatre major. In that program the girls do the pageants. Vanessa Williams, whose brother I grew up with, was also in that program and also did it, you all know how that turned out (laughs). It’s a good opportunity to be seen singing on stage. There was no American Idol or The Voice then. Other than Star Search there was no way to be seen. So I entered one in Syracuse and I won. Then I entered New York and won Miss Congeniality. They asked everyone what it means to be a good friend and, I guess they liked my answer so much that for about a year I was the “nicest” girl in the state of New York. It still benefits me now because through the pageant experience I learned a lot about doing interviews and being able to walk and talk at the same time.

TBB:From 2000 to 2002 you starred in CBS’s That’s Life for which, I read, you composed the theme song. You’ve also sung at weddings and other big events. Why don’t you showcase your musical talents on RHOC?

HD: It reads that way but in reality I just sang it, I didn’t write it. (After college)I thought I’d do Broadway but a series of events lead to TV. I had a musical background, no money and was singing at Disneyland. There I met this guy and we sang at weddings and parties. Soon we started playing corporate gigs. While I was doing that I was getting little TV parts, meeting agents, etc. At last year’s finale party (the producers) wanted me to sing, but it felt inauthentic to me. I don’t sing all the time anymore. I also kept having problems with my voice for the last year and a half. I’ve been seeing doctors for ulcerated vocal cords. One had me not talk for three weeks straight, not even a peep! Surgery is a last resort, and I’m hoping it resolves itself. Tamra (Barney) has asked me to sing at her wedding so I’m trying to get my voice back for that.

TBB: So no plans to release a single like many Housewives have?

HD: No I really don’t think so. I love singing and I love performing and it’s been a big part of my life. I guess never say never. I recently saw Rita Wilson and she put out an album. But for right now I’ve been doing a bunch of scripted TV, which I love and I miss. They’ve caught some of that for the upcoming season and I’m glad people will see me in my element.

TBB: Yes, you’ve recently resurrected your acting career with guest roles on sitcoms like Hot In Cleveland. Was joining the Housewives cast a strategy to help jump-start your return to acting?

HD: No, I actually thought it would do the exact opposite. I thought it would be the nail in the coffin of what had been my career which was part of the reason that I didn’t (initially) want to do it. I was a snob about the Reality genre and felt it was a step down. I’ve learned that work begets work, exposure is exposure, and if you stay true to your brand it could help.

TBB: Your husband, Terry, has previously been on Reality TV as one of the surgeons on the makeover show The Swan (2004). Did his experience influence your decision to do Housewives?

HD: He was on The Swan, Bridalplasty (2010), a lot of Reality TV. He was very comfortable with these shows and he saw the value of being on a show like (Housewives). He had a lot to do with me being on the show. I had met with producers the year Alexis (Bellino) joined the cast. I had never seen the show, but they called my husband and said “We want to meet your wife.” They said they were going to hire all new people so I met with them and had all my friends meet with them. At the end of the day they felt I was “too New York” to be on the show. Terry said “Thank God you didn’t get it. They’re mean and they throw wine at each other.” The next year when they asked if I’d be interested again, I said “No thank you.”The year after I was pitching a show with my friends about opening a restaurant. By this point I was a big fan of Beverly Hills because Terry knew Paul (Nassif) and we would watch it to see him and Adrienne (Maloof), however I was scared because I heard the OC girls were really mean and crazy. (My friends and I) had offers from production companies, but they wanted us open before they filmed even a sizzle reel. That and my husband convinced me to give (Housewives) a try.

TBB: We saw you explore your desire to open a restaurant on Season 7. Is that project still in the works?

HD: Yes. We’ve partnered up with Fabio Viviani from Top Chef (Season 5). I love him and I love his partners. We just went to his restaurant opening in Chicago. His group is amazing and I’m excited to be opening with him! We found a location that is being built so we are looking at a 2014 opening.

TBB: Last season you were the new girl on the OC block, but quickly rose to the top of what New York Housewife Sonja Morgan would refer to as “the pecking order.” What do you think it is about you that has related so well with the fans as well as the other women on the show?

HD: Thank you for saying that. My opinion is that I think the audience can smell BS. When someone comes on and is authentically themselves you respond to it. I feel like I came on as myself. I was honest. When I’m saying something it’s because I mean it.

TBB: Your background is in scripted stage and TV, was it difficult to be natural and not act for the cameras?

HD: I think it’s just a challenge to not have a script. You are held accountable for anything and everything that comes out of your mouth. We are human beings and have bad days. When you do it on camera it’s there to be played over and over again. In fact I felt very on edge the first half of the season.

TBB: How do you feel about how you were portrayed and the way you treated Alexis and Sarah (Winchester) last season and what is your relationship with them now?

HD: Sarah, I don’t see or speak to her at all. I don’t think I did anything to her. She acted pretty outrageous every time I saw her. From what I understand Gretchen (Rossi) hadn’t seen her behave that way before. She’s a single mom and I wish her well, but I don’t have any problem with how I reacted to her. As far as Alexis things were said on both sides and things get blown out of proportion. Every time Alexis and I hung out together I feel like things were taken and said the wrong way. When I asked about her house selling versus renting it was just conversation. She got upset and I got upset. The one thing I regret is when we were in Costa Rica. I should have said at the table “let’s not talk about this now.” I don’t regret the conversation, but when everyone else gets involved it becomes a whole different ballgame. The next day I went to her room to talk. We are in a much much better place now.

TBB: I read that in Season 8 we will see you struggle to balance family and career. What are some things you’ve discovered about being a working mom that surprised you?

HD: I think it’s important for women to want to work. You need to be a complete whole person. I’m surprised how much easier it is to go to work, but I think what surprised me most was that Terry, who is really supportive and great, really wasn’t that supportive at the beginning. It’s a conflict that resonates throughout the season with us.

TBB: It’s been reported that you are moving…

HD: Yes. Twice…isn’t that crazy? Someone knocked on our door in December and made an offer we couldn’t refuse. Now we have to move to a furnished rental while our house is being built.

TBB: Is there anything else you would like people to know about you?

HD: I definitely read Twitter and try to answer whenever I can. I like getting people’s feedback. Even though you weren’t that crazy about me in the beginning, none of it was mean. There will be people who will hate, but I can’t imagine people sit down behind their computers to spew out real hate. I don’t mind people having opinions. When you put yourself on a show you are putting yourself out there to be judged.
