The Real Housewives of Atlanta may be over, but the drama that ensues down south is continuous! Bravo’s newest Atlanta housewife and former Miss USA, Kenya Moore was accused of not paying $848 of her $3,999 monthly rental payment on her home for both May and June.
However, Kenya says that the landlord is trying to intimidate her into moving out of her home—claiming that she has paid her rent.
The Gone with the Wind Fabulous singer called into The Wendy Williams Show on June 20th to talk about being evicted from her residence in Roswell, Georgia, an Atlanta suburb.
After neither Kenya nor her lawyer appeared in court, a judge ruled against Moore and in favor of her landlord, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. .
“First of all, we never got notice of a court date, so that’s going to be overturned and we will have another court date,” Kenya told Wendy via phone. “It isn’t over until the fat lady sings.”
“Secondly,” she said, “This is absolutely absurd. I’ve paid this woman nearly $52,000 in rent and she has a $6,000 security deposit of mine. I have paid her May rent and paid her June, and my lease is up in three weeks. So this whole thing is absolutely ridiculous.”
In addition to rent troubles, Kenya is suing her landlord for wrongful eviction, slander and emotional distress. Good luck, Kenya!
Who’s in and who’s out?
Rumors that Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Joseline Hernandez may be jumping ship to join Real Housewives of Atlanta are FALSE, according to Kenya.
“I highly doubt it, I don’t think there’s any truth to that rumor,” she told Wendy.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will have two new friends to stroll down Rodeo Drive with this summer. E! News has learned that both Carlton Gebbia and Joye Giraud will be joining the show as full-fledged housewives.
Sources close to production revealed that Joyce has already stirred up some drama for the show.
“Joyce is definitely Team Kyle [Richards],” one source explains. “But she gets on the nerves of nearly everyone else. She’s very ‘me, me, me.’ She makes every situation about her. It’s insensitive and exhausting.”
Carlton, however, has not yet taken sides between Kyle and Lisa Vanderpump.
A second source revealed that Taylor Armstrong may not be returning as a full-time cast member this season.
“Taylor’s been filming, but barely,” says the insider. “And she’s no longer on salary. Her current deal is pay-for-play. She only gets paid for the days that she shoots. As of now, that hasn’t been a lot.”
The New York City Housewives are welcoming two new cast mates according to TBB. Tara Cushing spotted two new ladies sitting with the cast at a recent filming in East Hampton,NY. When asked if Kristen Taekman was indeed a new Housewife one of the ladies confirmed with “She will hold an apple.” A friend of stylist Amanda Sanders said she believed that this was also another “full fledged” addition. We may have to wait until December, when RHONY‘s sixth season is rumored to premiere, to know for sure.
Congratulations are due to The Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney who tied the knot with longtime boyfriend, Eddie Judge on Saturday, June 15th.
“I am so lucky to be sharing my life with Eddie,” Tamra told Us Weekly. “I have never been so in love! This is the beginning of the best part of my life.”
Bravo cameras were rolling as the couple walked down the aisle. The event was filmed for Tamra’s upcoming spinoff show, Tamra’s OC Wedding, which will reportedly air on September 2nd, 2013.
The Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa also wed her longtime boyfriend this month. Joanna and Romain Zago, who have been dating for over six years, wed in San Diego at the Park Hyatt Aviara, People reports.
Joanna’s rep told Us Weekly that the ceremony was a “million dollar princess wedding“ and that Joanna walked down the aisle in a $30,000 Chagoury Couture gown.
Joanna’s co-stars Lisa Hochstein, Alexia Echevarria, and Adriana de Moura were part of the 120 people who attended the ceremony to watch the couple say “I do”.
Although Joanna does not have a wedding spin-off, I am sure we’ll get to see the wedding play out on the third season of The Real Housewives of Miami.
It’s been several weeks since we first learned that The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Stewart and husband Kordell Stewart were heading for divorce.
Kordell has publicly declared that he was not going to pay Porsha any spousal support, and he even went as far as changing the locks on their shared Atlanta mansion.
But now, an Atlanta judge has granted Porsha temporary spousal support to be given to her by Kordell. According to the Hip Hop Enquirer, Kordell is being court ordered to pay Porsha $5,000 a month. He also must return all of her personal belongings.
While one Atlanta marriage is erupting, another is evolving (again). The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes tied the knot with her ex-husband Gregg Leakes for the second time on Saturday, June 22nd.
The couple wed at the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta hotel in front of 400 friends and family members, along with Bravo cameras, a source tells E! News.
The event was filmed as part of the couple’s spin-off show, I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding.
“I’m so happy to see my parents remarried, as a family we’ve never been happier,” their son Brentt told E! News.
The couple, who were originally married back in 1997, separated in 2010 and re-engaged this past December.
Fashionista and stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe is pregnant with her second child with husband Rodger Berman.
The couple, who wed in 1996, share a 2-year-old son, Skyler, born in March 2011.
Bethenny Frankel won’t be walking down the aisle again anytime soon.
The 41-year-old mother of one, who filed for divorce from ex-husband Jason Hoppy in January, took to Twitter to shoot down the idea of getting re-married in her future.
“I’m not sure what’s going on w me hormonally, but if the talk show doesn’t work, i can pursue a career as an exotic dancer,” Bethenny originally tweeted.
A fan then suggested that Bethenny, “try marriage,” to which Frankel responded, “Hell no!”
Last month, Frankel opened up about being a single mother and the possibility of trying marriage again in the future.
“I do believe in love. I always have and I always will,” Bethenny told E! News last month. “But if love comes in different places. Right now my love for my daughter is the most important thing. But I believe in good people.”
