In loving memory of Michael M. Flatley
There must be something in the water! Vicki Gunvalson, star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County, welcomed her second grandchild earlier last week.
Now, O.C. Housewife Tamra Barney will join Vicki in the Grandmas Club! Tamra’s son, Ryan Vieth, 28, and his fiancée, are expecting their first child later this year.
“I’m going to be ‘Tam-ma’,” Tamra told Andy Cohen last week on Watch What Happens Live. “NeNe [Leakes] has ‘Glam-ma’ and Vicki has ‘Nana’ and I’m going to be ‘Tam-ma’. I’m so excited!”
Wedding vows may not mean a thing to one Real Housewives of Atlanta couple! After being sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud charges, Apollo Nida is questioning his marriage to Phaedra Parks.
“I doubt it,” Apollo told Atlanta B100’s radio hosts when asked if his marriage would last with him behind bars. “I mean, my wife didn’t even f——g show up for my sentencing, so I’m still kind of salty about that.”
During the interview, Apollo also expressed concern for his children, Ayden, 4, and Dylan, 1. “I love my kids,” he said. “Coming from a non-father, non-mother background, I think at the end of the day, I feel sad and disappointed that I let my little man down.”
According to federal court documents, Apollo deposited millions of dollars worth of “fraudulently obtained checks” into almost 40 bank accounts that had been opened using “stolen identities.”
Apollo, 35, will serve five years under parole supervision after he completes his eight years in a federal prison.
Hold onto your oars, Bravo executives! Network ratings may be headed downstream! According to RealityTea, The Real Housewives of New Jersey failed to draw a big crowd to tune into the season 6 premiere last week. Only 2.14 million viewers tuned in to watch the return of RHONJ alum Dina Manzo. It was the lowest rated premiere episode in the show’s history!
Meanwhile down in Atlanta, the Married to Medicine reunion show averaged 1.14 million viewers, an average viewing for the series, and 1.12 million people watched the season premiere of Don’t Be Tardy.
And the ratings struggling Real Housewives of New York City had a small 1.13 million people tuned in to see Carole Radziwell and the RHONY ladies celebrate her birthday.
Perhaps RHONY ratings will increase as the preview for this week’s season finale episode has gone viral! During the filming for the season finale of The Real Housewives of New York City, star Aviva Drescher used her prosthetic leg as ammunition during a heated argument with her fellow cast members.
“The only thing that is artificial or fake about me is this!,” Aviva screeched. Aviva then took off her prosthetic leg and threw it across the room.
The encounter, which according to Page Six took place last fall, had caused much excitement among the other customers at the restaurant in which the show was being filmed. All witnesses at the restaurant, however, were required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Catch a sneak peek of the outstanding moment below!
Aviva’s leg isn’t the only fake aspect of the show. US Weekly reported that last week’s promise ring scene between Aviva’s ex-husband Harry Dubin and Sonja Morgan was a phony. The mag stated a source disclosed the scene was staged by Sonja and Ramona Singer. The clincher, the ring was Ramona’s and had once belonged to her mother-in-law. How’s that for Reality TV?
The season finale of The Real Housewives of New York City airs this Tuesday, July 22nd.
On a sad note TBB lost a friend and contributor last week. Michael (Mikey) Flatley was a devoted Housewives fan whom we met through social media and the events circuit. A New Jersey native, he was partial to The Real Housewives of New Jersey and appeared in the crowds on several reality shows both on Bravo and MTV. His greatest loves were his family and his many friends. We will miss his enthusiasm and zest for life.
Michael was pursuing his dream of becoming a school counselor. A scholarship fund is being established at South Brunswick High School where he did his internship in student counseling. Donations can be made to :
