Start stirring your gravy and fryin’ your meatballs… The Real Housewives of New Jersey are back! Bravo has announced that the sixth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will premiere on Sunday, July 13th.

Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga are the only Housewives returning this season. In addition, RHONJ alum, Dina Manzo will be re-joining the cast.

“Well I guess the (hairless) cats out of the bag,” Dina tweeted when filming started. “Yes I’m back. Unlike the past this time it felt ‘right’ … See you on Bravo my friends.”

Dina’s sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita, who has starred on the show since it’s inception, will not be part of the season six cast. Caroline Manzo has also departed from the series. Caroline’s upcoming spinoff pilot, Manzo’d With Children, was recently picked up for season one and, according to her Twitter will air in fall 2014. We caught up with Caroline at a recent event! Find out what she had to say about Manzo’d with Children and her departure form The Real Housewives of New Jersey here!

Although Kathy Wakile is no longer part of the cast, she and her sister Rosie will be making an appearance or two in the upcoming season, Melissa Gorga revealed during an appearance at the Tampa Home and Garden Show last week. When we recently saw the sisters, they too confirmed their involvment on the show.

Three new Housewives will be joining the cast this season! Amber Marchese and identical twins Teresa Aprea and Nicole Mauriello are sure to fuel some great drama this season. Amber, a breast cancer survivor, is a New Jersey native with a no-nonsense attitude. Teresa Aprea, and her husband, Rino, are the owners of famous restaurants, Angelo’s of Mulberry Street in Little Italy, and Ponte Vecchio in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. She and her husband have an 18-year-old son, Giovanni. Nicole Mauriello is a two-time divorcee (Hey, at least that’s better than 19 engagements…), a fashionista and a mother to two teenage boys, Joey, 14, and Anthony, 16.

Teresa and Joe Giudice’s legal drama will be a major story this season. After pleading guilty to multiple fraud and tax evasion charges, Teresa and Joe are currently awaiting their sentencing hearing, which is scheduled for July 8th.

“Obviously, Teresa is going to be a key character in the upcoming season, and Bravo wants to maximize her storyline,” an insider revealed to Radar Online last month.

Viewers can also expect some catfights, yelling, and stripping & cheating allegations. Oh yes, more stripping & cheating allegations!

Pink slip or just no trip? Fans of The Real Housewives of New York City have been questioning the absence of Aviva Drescher from the show after her dialogue was erased from the opening credits.

TheHollywoodGossip reported the mother of four was being “disciplined by producers with a forced three-episode hiatus,” while other reports suggest Aviva’s disappearance is simply a publicity stunt to drum up interest in the ratings starved show.

Aviva broke her silence regarding the matter, telling Radar “I wasn’t (disciplined) … back on in two weeks,” adding that she did not want to go on the Berkshire trip due to health concerns involving her prosthetic leg and asthma.

However, Radar has learned that these recent episodes are not the only ones Aviva will be cut from this season.

“Aviva has had a really bad time this season,” a source revealed. “Because she refused to go on two separate trips with the rest of the women the producers are fuming at her and they’re taking her out of the show as punishment.”

“Aviva also refused to go to Montana with the women, so she won’t be in those upcoming episodes either and they’re planning to do the same thing with the opening credits – take her out of them,” the insider continued. “No one would want her to risk her health or anything if that’s the reason she claimed was why she didn’t go, but the producers are fed up with her now.”

Aviva’s frequent absences may lead to a major cast change. “Aviva might get axed from the show at the end of the season,” the source said. “Her storyline about Bookgate was dumb and then not being part of the rest of the show is making her more difficult so the producers are seriously considering firing her at the end of the season.”

We reached out to Aviva when the first Aviva Free episode aired two weeks ago, but she was unresponsive.

Reality Roundup: The Best of 2013

Porsha and Kordell Stewart (Source: Paras Griffin/Landov)

From legal turmoil to marital bliss, it’s been another crazy year for Bravo’s Real Housewives. That Housewife Guy runs down 5 of the juiciest headlines of 2013.

 5. Porsha Stewart BLINDSIDED by Husband’s Divorce Filing

Although it was not necessarily a shock to viewers of The Real Housewives of AtlantaPorsha Stewart claimed she was completely blindsided when her ex-husband Kordell Stewart filed for divorce back in March.

After less than two years of marriage, Kordell called it quits and filed divorce papers in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia on March 22nd, saying that his marriage to Porsha was “irretrievably broken.”

The Atlanta housewife can finally move forward with the next chapter of her life as her divorce from Kordell was finalized earlier this month.

On this Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Porsha has a dramatic breakdown over her divorce.

“As much as I want to get over Kordell, being around these different women talking about children and babies, it just made me think about the family that I wanted and the family that we shared,” Porsha says.

In the preview, Atlanta co-star NeNe Leakes tried to comfort Porsha. “I’ve tried to be there to support Porsha, but our relationship is very one-sided. It’s very frustrating,” NeNe reveals.

Watch NeNe dish out some advice in the video preview here.

4. NeNe Leakes Re-Marries Ex-Husband Gregg Leakes

Second time’s the charm for NeNe and Gregg Leakes. The couple officially became man and wife again in 2013. Before divorcing in 2011, the two were married for 13 years. The pair reconciled in 2012 and NeNe announced their second engagement via Twitter last New Year’s Eve.

Nene and Gregg said their “I Dos” for the second time in front of 400+ guests and Bravo cameras in Atlanta, Georgia this past summer at the InterContinental Buckhead Hotel. The duo spared no expense for their “Old Hollywood” themed wedding—the lavish event boasted a whopping $1.8 million price tag.

NeNe’s reconciliation with Gregg and her journey to the altar were documented on her own spinoff series, I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding.

NeNe was the third Atlanta housewife to earn an official spin-off series this past year. Kim Zolciak’s wedding/married life spinoff, Don’t Be Tardy and Kandi Burruss music competition series, The Kandi Factory debuted on Bravo earlier in 2013.

After getting divorced in 2011, NeNe says that this time she and Gregg will last. “Both of us want this, so it will definitely work this time,” NeNe told Life & Style“I know exactly what I’m getting myself into.”

3. The Real Housewives of New Jersey Manzo Swap

Whether you love her or hate her, Caroline Manzo will not be returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey next season. From the “Ham Game” to her biting wit, the RHONJ star has made her mark over the past 5 seasons.

Despite the fun-times Caroline has had on the show, she says it was time to move on. “Over the past few years my outlook on the show has changed from something I couldn’t wait to show my future grandchildren to something I hope my future grandchildren never see,” Manzo wrote on her Bravo blog.

“I’ve always prided myself on being a good example for my children and my decision to leave is based on advice I’ve always given them: ‘Be true to yourself and be proud of who you are, you are born with a name and you die with a name, don’t dirty it up.’ Going back to film another season of Housewives would only make me a hypocrite. For me, peace and integrity cannot be bought with money or fame.”

Fans of the family matriarch will not have to say their goodbyes just yet. Caroline and her family are wrapping production on their pilot spin-off series for BravoManzo’d With Children.

Alert the welcome wagon—former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dina Manzo is back for another run! Marked by the departure of her sister Caroline Manzo, original cast member Dina Manzo will be returning to the series next season.

“Well I guess the (hairless) cats out of the bag,” Dina tweeted back in October of this year. “Yes I’m back. Unlike the past this time it felt ‘right’ … See you on Bravo my friends.”

Dina left the show during season two after a feud with her then co-star Danielle Staub. She then went on to host an event planning reality show on HGTV titled Dina’s Party.

After three years of feuding, the Manzo sisters have reconciled. In an exclusive interview with In Touch, Dina reveals she and Caroline are “totally fine,” adding that anger has been replaced by civility.

“When we see each other, we kiss each other hello,” Dina told the mag this week. “We just don’t hang out for Sunday dinner, that’s all…If Caroline needed me and called me tomorrow, I would be there. I love my sister. I will always love her.”

However a source, who wishes to remain anonymous, has told us that a reconciliation between the two has NOT happened. Reading between the lines of Dina’s statement I’d say our source is on the money!

2. Bethenny and Jason Call it Quits

It may sound like old news, but it has only been one year since the former Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel called it quits on her marriage to Jason Hoppy. After months of speculation about the state of their marriage, Bethenny announced that she and Jason were separating.

“It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating,” Frankel said in a statement. “This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family.”

The couple announced their split back in December 2012 and filings were made in January of 2013. The two have been dealing with ongoing highly publicized divorce settlement issues, including custody disputes over their 3-year-old daughter Brynn, ever since.

The Skinnygirl mogul met her soon-to-be ex-husband in late 2008 and they tied the knot less than less two years later. The duo wed on March 28th, 2010 in front of Bravo cameras at New York’s iconic Four Seasons Hotel. Their nuptials were featured on Bethenny’s first Real Housewives spinoff show, Bethenny Getting Married.

Since the split, Bethenny has been busy filming her self-titled day-time talk show, Bethenny.

1. Not So Fabulicious—Teresa and Joe’s Legal Turmoil

It is no secret that the stars of Bravo‘s Real Housewives franchise have their fair share of financial woes. This time around, The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice have caught themselves in financial peril, again.

Teresa and Joe were indicted this past summer on 39-counts of federal fraud and tax charges that, according to legal experts, may cause them both to serve time in federal prison. The indictment details charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications, and bankruptcy fraud, against the couple from Towaco, N.J.

The 33-page indictment document accuses Joe Giudice of failing to file tax returns for 2004 through 2008 and states that Joe and Teresa falsely informed lenders on loan application that they were employed and/or receiving substantial salaries when in fact, they were not.

The couple pled not guilty to the charges; however, if convicted Teresa and Joe could each face decades behind bars. Joe even faces being deported to Italy if he is found guilty of just one of the 39 counts in the indictment, prosecutors said — as it emerged recently that he is not a US citizen.

Added to that, Juicy Joe is currently awaiting trial for allegedly impersonating his brother, Pete Giudice, to illegally obtain a driver’s license after his own was suspended for a DWI. He can face up to 10 years in prison for those charges. Joe’s rap sheet continued to expand this year after being pulled over twice in one month.

In November, Joe was cited by police for careless driving in a school zone. He was also ticketed for driving without an inspection sticker on his vehicle and not having a valid insurance card.

The couple opened up about their legal woes on a special episode of Watch What Happens Live back in September. Host Andy Cohen sat down with the reality television stars to discuss their indictment and how they are managing to keep their lives together.

During the sit down, an emotional Teresa said she is trying to stay strong for their children. “I can’t fall apart, Andy. I have my daughters, they mean the world to me … maybe something that my daughters can learn from this is that my mom was really strong through all of this and was there for us and I hope they always have that with them,” Teresa said wiping away tears.

Catch a clip below:

The couple’s federal fraud trial, originally scheduled for February, will now take place in April of 2014.

Reality Roundup

One Real Housewives rumor has become quite the reality. Former Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Dina Manzo is in fact returning to the hit series next season.

“Well I guess the (hairless) cats out of the bag,” Dina tweeted. “Yes I’m back, Unlike the past this time it felt ‘right’ … See you on Bravo my friends.”

Dina, one of the original RHONJ cast members, left the show during season two after a feud with her then co-star Danielle Staub.  Dina’s return follows the news that her estranged sister, Caroline Manzo, will not be returning for Season 6.

The changes coming to The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast do not stop there. Producers will be adding three new housewives to the mix next season, a source told InTouch.

“They have added three new women — twins Nicole and Teresa Napolitano and their friend, Amber Marchese.”

“The show got really dark,” the insider explained. “They needed to bring in new faces to get back to some of the lighter drama that everyone loves from the Real Housewives franchise.”

There is no official word from the remaining cast members Teresa GiudiceJacqueline LauritaMelissa Gorga or Kathy Wakile regarding their roles next season; however, rumor has it that Jacqueline’s future on the show is highly in question. When we saw Melissa last week she was tight lipped regarding Season 6.

Since her departure from the series, Dina has hosted her own show on HGTV, Dina’s Party. She also separated from her husband Tommy of seven years.

Uncle Sam wants The Real Housewives of Atlanta super-star NeNe Leakes and her husband Gregg to pay up! Reports claim the newly-weds owe the state of California and Georgia a combined $158,000+ in back taxes.

NeNe must have been too busy planning her million dollar wedding that she forgot to pay her taxes! Hip Hop Daily Press reports the state of California has slammed the reality star with a $25,212 tax lien on her and her pizza franchise, Famous Famiglia. The site also claims that Gregg owes both state and federal taxes to the state of Georgia totaling over $130,000!

Perhaps NeNe can use one of her Bravo pay-checks to free her from this debt. According to OK! magazine, NeNe signed a $1 million contract plus bonuses for starring on Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Business is booming for The Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney.  She and her husband, Eddie Judge, are planning on expanding C.U.T. Fitness, the gym the couple own together.

“Where would you like to see our next @cutfitoc open? San Clemente -Costa Mesa-Huntington Beach- Dana Point-etc.?” the blonde bombshell asked on Twitter.

The newlywed business mavens recently featured their nuptials on their Real Housewives spin-off titled Tamra’s OC Wedding.

In a recent interview, RHOC veteran Vicki Gunvalson is blaming the hit reality show for destroying her family.

“I think that my family would still be together. There’s some really great things that have come from the show, but one of the downsides was that it broke up my family, and that’s tough to take,” she told Digital Spy.  “I think the show had a lot to do with me getting divorced. I think it was too much pressure on a weak marriage. I wonder where Donn and I would be now if we didn’t do the show. But we elected to do the show together as a family. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for us.”

Despite all the heartbreak, Vicki does not plan on leaving the show. “I’m not a quitter,” she says. “and I feel like the viewers still want to see me. My story’s not over. I try to bring some good to the show, as best as I can, to inspire single women.”

Season 9 of The Real Housewives of Orange County is currently filming; however, rumor has it both Gretchen Rossi and Alexis Bellino are not involved.

Every week I will rummage through the Bravo vault to find vintage photos from the past or revisit a classic moment from one of our favorite shows! Last week, I uncovered a classic photo of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita. In this week’s Roundup Throwback, we will revisit one of the most infamous moments in Real Housewives history.

The season one finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey was one for the history books. It was the table-flip seen ‘round the world!  Teresa Giudice seethed with anger at a dinner party after former costar Danielle Staub picked a fight. Finally reaching her boiling point, Teresa flipped over the dinner table and propelled a plethora of insults, calling Danielle a “prostitution whore”.

Besides making “prostitution whore” an instant catchphrase, the table-flip scene quickly made Teresa a reality superstar.  This scene made the show’s season one finale an epic disaster and set the bar high for the seasons to come.

Catch a glimpse of the monumentis scene below.
