The week started with some tragic news. Scot Young, boyfriend to Ladies of London‘s Noelle Reno, fell to his death on Monday. The wealthy Londoner tumbled from a fourth floor window of the apartment he shared with Reno in a what one witness called “a horrific scene” that shocked the police who responded to the incident. The accident has not been deemed suspicious. Young leaves behind two daughters he shared with his ex-wife.  Our sincerest condolences to his family and Noelle.

*Update: British publications are connecting Young’s death to a “Ring of Death” that includes some of his associates who all passed in similar suspicious circustances. The Telegraph reported on the 12th that all men were involved in a “mysterious property deal” called Project Moscow with ties to the Russian Mafia. The “project”is suspected to have been a scam that fleeced Young and his contemporaries of their fortunes and left them with huge debts. Sounds like a Lifetime movie in the making to me!

Did Vanderpump Rules’sStassi Schroeder tell Jenny McCarthy that she was hit by her ex-boyfriend? Somebody pointed me to a story this week in which there was an interview that Schroeder claimed that Jax Taylor, her ex and co-star on the show, hit her. Unfortunately when I had a chance to listen to the clip it was no longer available on Soundcloud and I couldn’t locate it on Google. Jax and Stassi dated before breaking up during the show’s second season. Tell us, do you think Jax would hit Stassi?

Maybe Jax’s rage starts with his paycheck. TMZ reports that the cast of VPR makes Pump chump change. Reportedly the stars of the show made just $5k for the entire first season. They were raised to $3k per episode for the second season and now get $5K per episode on season three. Considering a season on Bravo is usually 6-12 weeks that means they are getting a maximum of $60K. No wonder they all still live in those shoebox apartments.

Sonja Morgan dished to OK Magazine about the current filming of Real Housewives of New York City‘s latest season. At the party to celebrate her cover on Latino Show Magazine where she sports one of the dresses from her upcoming line (2015) Sonja Morgan New York. Morgan admitted to not knowing Carole Radziwill and Heather Thomson well on prior seasons but says that now there are “real friendships” and that the “girls are fully integrated.” Morgan (51)  also showed off her 24-year-old boyfriend Dominik Persy at the event. Where was I you may wonder, as I usually cover Sonja’s events live? Yours truly got her invite, but I was on mommy duty that night with my two favorite stars. Thanks for the invite Sonja, will definitely make the next one!

On season 5 of The Real Housewives of New JerseyJoe Gorga told his sister to, “Cook a book.” It seems like Teresa Giudice may indeed be cooking up something. People.com reports that everybody’s favorite table flipping Fabulicious Housewife has been spending her last few weeks of freedom creating cooking videos. The You Tube video, hosted by Glam, called Get Cooking with Teresa Giudice, features Tre showing how to make devil shrimp over anger hair pasta. You can watch the clip below. Teresa will be surrendering to a Connecticut prison on January 5th. Tell us, would you watch a Teresa post prison cooking show?

More out of RHONJ, Bravo-Dish is reporting that the Manzo-Laurita feud is over. Jacqueline Laurita told Radar Online that the whole family, including Dina Manzo, “had Thanksgiving together for the first time and it was peaceful and normal and great to have everyone together.” Jac also stated that Dina finally met her youngest son Nicholas and that “he loved her. He even sat on her lap and played with her hair.” Dina and Caroline Manzo appear to have also turned over a new leaf. After the holiday Dina tweeted “Things have been good for a bit and just wanted to keep it private for a minute~Not everything needs to be done w cameras” to which Caroline responded “True – we kept it private :)”. I reached out to Jacqueline for a comment and am awaiting a response. In the meantime you can read about the feud in her own words in her November TBB interview.

If you are wondering if this could all be to smooth things over before next season (if there is one) of RHONJ starts filming, you aren’t alone. I heard through the Franklin Lakes grapevine that Dina does not want to return to the show. Could the reconciliation be just one aspect of getting her to stay? What do you think?

Fans of Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Vicki Gunvalson, got a little extra Woohoo from the original Housewife when she inadvertently Instagrammed a topless photo of herself. Vicki was posting a thank you for a pair of Beats headphones Bravo gave her for Christmas when the packaging reflected her naked body into the photo. Vicki claimed she was getting dressed for work. Blame it on multitasking. I can’t help but think of the classic Elaine Christmas card episode on Seinfeld. Season’s greetings Vicki!

On Beyond Bravo by Lesley Rousso

Tuesday night’s episode of True Tori was a train-wreck if I ever saw one. The episode began with Tori (Spelling)‘s mother (Candy Spelling) showing up at one of her grandkid’s birthday parties with Tatum O’Neal. Despite both women being from legendary Hollywood families, Tori and Tatum, did not know each other…and we thought the entertainment industry was small. In the episode, Tatum was ragging on Tori because she was in the house with a headache. Not that I don’t agree, but, desperate for air time much? Meanwhile, Tori doesn’t speak to her mother unless it’s at one of her kids’ parties. Later in the episode Tori went away on a girls’ weekend and basically complained the whole time. She really needs to pull herself together.

Nicole Snooki Polizzi married her baby daddy Jionni Lavalle over the weekend. I saw the pics, she looked gorgeous. Jionni unfortunately spent his first weekday of married life in court copping to a DUI claim. His license was revoked for three months and he’ll have to attend a drug and alcohol education class.

Speaking of DUI, Cake Boss Buddy Valastro pleaded guilty on Monday to a similar charge. Valastro, who reportedly told cops, “You can’t arrest me, I’m the Cake Boss,” stated that he was “very disappointed” in himself for the event which occurred last month. Valastro, 37, was pulled over in New York City when police noticed his yellow Corvette was swerving in and out of traffic. Valastro lives in Montville, NJ, the same town as another favorite reality star convict (see next story)…

Whether you love her or loathe her, you can’t argue that Teresa Giudice makes great TV. She’s the Housewife that changed Housewives and she’s been the unofficial star of Real Housewives of New Jersey for seasons. E! Online reports, however, despite rumors,  the star will NOT be appearing on camera at all prior to her January 5th departure for the big(ger) house. E!, who, like Bravo, is part of NBC Universal, states that not only is Tre not filming before she reports to a Danbury, CT prison, but without her the show may not go on…initially. “Postponing season seven is just one possibility,” the article that was published on Tuesday reads, “…the powers that be are considering all options regarding the future of (the) series and whether Teresa is a part of it or not.” Jacqueline Laurita revealed to us in a recent interview that her own full-time return to the cast of the show is one of those possible options. Would you watch RHONJ without Teresa?

Speaking of Tre, TMZ says they have “obtained” a lawsuit she has filed against her bankruptcy lawyer. Teresa is suing Jim Kridel, for being “a slacker who never even met with her prior to filing bankruptcy docs.” Giudice accuses Kridel of failing to list several key assets including bank accounts, cars, and rental property income. Teresa is suing Kridel for malpractice to the tune of 5 million according to the TMZ article.

Our condolences go out this week to Todd Tucker, husband of Atlanta Housewife Kandi Burruss. Todd’s mother, Miss Sharon, passed on Tuesday unexpectedly. A friend of the family found Sharon unconscious. Todd was in Atlanta and flew to New York to be at his mother’s side where she was comatose in a New York hospital. Tucker, whose father passed when he was young and was raised by his mother, made the following statement via his social media:

“Today I lost my partner, my ride or die best friend! I don’t know what to do? I’m lost! My heart hurts so much! She was a fighter, a warrior for her son! It was me and her agains the world! She’s in a better place!! Mom I love you to death! Rest in peace!”

In other, happier Real Housewives of Atlanta news, Nene Leakes has taken on Broadway and she’s been attracting Housewives from across the franchises to the Great White Way. Since her first night as the Evil Stepmother in Keke Palmer’s Cinderella, Nene has been cheered on by Melissa and Joe Gorga with their three children, Kathy Wakile, Kristen Taekman, and former RHONY star Jill Zarin. On her website Nene, who is never humble bashful, posted:

“Waking up this morning in a daze like what just happened! I stood before a SOLD OUT Broadway theatre screaming my name! The overwhelming amount of love and support brought me to tears! I have so many people to thank this morning…I can’t believe this. Like I really can’t believe this!”

Based on your behavior on recent seasons of Real Housewives of Atlanta, neither can we! All jokes aside though, it sounds like an amazing show! Maybe I should try to get my glass slippers down there to check it out! The show runs through January (Hmm maybe that could be my birthday present…calling Mr. Blonde…)

Speaking of Nene, it appears she will get another chance to tell Kim Zolciak to close her legs (or stop reproducing). The frenemies are scheduled to have a sit down with Housewives Fairy Godfather Andy Cohen on a December 7th airing of Watch What Happens Live. Despite a tumultuous relationship, the two have both come around to wanting to reconcile, with Kim recently saying that she missed her pal. Could this be a prelude to a RHOA comeback for Kim? Don’t Be Tardy for this WWHL episode!

Tell us: Would you like to see Nene and Kim together again?

RHONJ Premier Party-A New New Jersey

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I confess, I’ve distanced myself from the party scene a bit. I’m a person who doesn’t like things to ever feel too forced in my life, and I’m at a point when I need to quiet things down a bit, not out of necessity, just because at the time it feels natural for me. Honestly, as cool as getting dressed up and going out to parties can be, in the core of my heart I’m just a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl who enjoys sitting on the floor with her three year olds.

On the flip side, as much as I believe in a natural flow to life, I also thoroughly believe in signs, and anytime I get too far off the course of this crazy “other life” I’ve fallen into, there are mystical powers that set me back on the road to wherever it is this is taking me. My story of the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 6 premier party is one of those cases.

I didn’t really intend to go to this premier. In the past my prime connections to the show have been Caroline ManzoJacqueline Laurita, and Kathy Wakile. This is just the way things have always worked out. Remember, I tend to follow the natural flow of things…I can’t do a lifestyle of resistance. With those three ladies uninvolved I sort of felt removed from the show. Then friends of mine bought me a ticket making it impossible for me to say “no” (don’t worry I got them back by showing up with a lovely gift for their recent wedding anniversary).

My expectations of this party were quite different from the, for lack of a better word, reality of it. Having attended Kristen Taekman‘s Real Housewives of New York premier party I’d assumed this would be similar. Passed hor d’oeuvres and a screening, but considering the RHONY party was invite only, and the RHONJ one was open to anyone who purchased the $100 ticket benefiting Dina Manzo‘s Project Ladybug and the Deborah Hospital Foundation I knew it would be on a more chaotic scale. Chaos, for sure ensued.

The party was hosted by Velocity 1 Media. The venue, Pure in Parsippany, NJ, was a restaurant lounge located in a Holiday Inn. I have to say, once inside it felt more like a city lounge than one in a chain hotel off of NJ’s Route 46. After waiting outside in the humidity (one staffer said the girl’s were “fashionably late”) the masses were finally let inside, but instead of the all out come one come all mingling I’d experienced at Taekman’s soiree, the feel was very segregated. One side were the masses, and the other, behind chains and very serious bouncers, were the Housewives and their guests. That’s where one could find Dina, Melissa and Joe Gorga, Amber Marchese, and Untying the Knot star Vikki Zeigler. Further back from that, in a private room, was Teresa Giudice. She spent the entire evening either in there or stepping out to take pictures with the fans who were lucky enough to get passed the guards…and those guards were strict.

Fortunately for me, I’ve been to enough events that I’ve made friends in this industry who were already passed the proverbial velvet ropes. They let the guards know I was safe to let in. Not that anybody looked menacing. We all know HW fans can be quite intimidating on Twitter, but in person we’re mostly regular housewives and fabulous gay men, hardly a threat.

Even with my ability to get into the VIP area and freely rub elbows with Melissa and Joe, there was something about Dina that made me wary of approaching her. For one she was mobbed by fans on the occasions that she did come out into the general admission area, for two, I’ve historically done much press with family members she’s notoriously on the outs with. I honestly was concerned about how I would be received. Then, that fate that I mentioned before took charge in the form of an old high school classmate who recognized me from 20 years ago. Was she a Housewives fan I wanted to know. Actually she works for Dina. Hello divine intervention! I got my Dina introduction. She is sweet and so petite. Really folks, she’s adorable!

When I asked Dina how it felt to once again be experiencing premier night as a Housewife she was enthusiastic. “Tonight it feels amazing!” she gushed. We’re here raising money for two great causes, Project Ladybug being one of them, and meeting the fans has always been my favorite part of this. Everyone is so nice!”

As the hor d’oeuvres eluded me (I don’t eat chicken so I kept trying to get to the sushi tray, to no avail), I knocked back my complimentary Fabellini. Feeling a bit more relaxed after my drink (I clicked glasses with Joe Gorga) I scored some interviews with a few of the Bravolebs (stay tuned for those in the coming days!) and waited for the big screening. I still was thinking about how during the RHONY  party everything stopped and we all watched the show together (lucky me on the sofa with the cast). That moment never came. This was the big disappointment of the evening for me. As I was Instagramming party pics for you all, you were live tweeting the actual show that to this day I still did not get to see. Unless I wanted to watch it like a silent movie playing in the background it just wasn’t going to happen.

The other thing I feared wouldn’t happen would be some time with Teresa. I get terribly nervous about this all the time as I know many of you are die hard Tre fans. Honestly I always try my best to get to her. She’s not that easy to get access to. Fortunately when things got a bit calmer (meaning the general population was thinning out) I got a moment with the star. She looked absolutely stunning in a fitted strapless floral dress. However, the evening had taken its toll on her. She was adamant that though she would take a picture, she wasn’t doing any press. The scenes in the premier of her recently deceased father in law really got to her. “It’s been an emotional evening for me,”she said when she spoke of seeing him on the show. She also was looking for her cellphone, and anyone who has ever misplaced their phone knows what an “Oh sh*t” moment that can be. However, she was gracious and poised as she always is when I see her at an event.

Her brother on the other hand was willing to chat. Joe assured me that he and his sister are no longer feuding. “Things are good, very good,” he said about their relationship and though there will be friction on the show it will be the “young blood” against the seasoned cast members. “We’re back to normal.” And what is normal in RHONJ land? Well, when asked to describe the season in one word he said “You know how it is…DRAMA!”
