Reality Roundup: The Real Housewives of New Jersey Rodeo!

For all the table-flipping, screaming and stripping allegations that are tossed around on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, we could always count on Caroline Manzo to be the voice of reason amongst the cast.

However, Caroline may be throwing in the towel after five drama-filled seasons on RHONJ. Manzo, an original cast member of the show, may not be returning for season six of the hit reality series.

“Caroline leaving is a natural progression,” a source told E! News. “As to the reason why, it will become clearer to viewers in the season finale and the reunion episodes why this was the right decision at the right time for her.”

However, an insider indicated to Us WeeklyNothing is final.”

Despite Manzo’s possible looming departure, fans of the family matriarch will not have to say their goodbyes just yet.

Bravo has given the green light to a pilot starring Caroline and her family. Manzo’d With Children (working title) will follow the Housewife in her duties as the “ringleader of the crazy circus that is her Italian family.”

Caroline’s sister, Fran, who we met earlier this season on RHONJ, will also be part of the pilot as she continues to bring in stray animals, including a pet pig, to the house.

Interesting enough, The Real Housewives of New Jersey may be undergoing a sibling swap.

Marked by the impending departure of her estranged sister, Dina Manzo may be returning to the show In Touch Magazine reports.

Dina is “in serious talks” to return to the hit reality series after a three-season hiatus. “The timing is perfect,” a source told In Touch.

“Dina Manzo’s return to the show is all but a done deal,” another source explained.

The changes coming to The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast do not stop there.

Rumor has it, friend to the site Jacqueline Laurita has gotten the pink slip from the network following the lack of a storyline and cannoli maven Kathy Wakile has been demoted to a “Friend of the Housewives”.

Reality Tea suggests that producers felt that once the feuding between Kathy and cousin Teresa Giduice died down, Kathy was unable to hold viewer’s attention. In addition, they reveal that the only reason for Kathy’s presence on the show next season is because producers do not want to loose her sister Rosie! Ouch.

A new full-time Housewife may also be added to the mix, RumourFix revealed. Could it finally be one of Housewives friends? Cough Cough, Kim D, Cough Cough.

As of now, The Real Housewives of New Jersey has not officially been renewed for a sixth season. The new season is tentatively slated to begin filming by December; however, no cast contracts have yet been offered by Bravo.

The show’s future may be more uncertain now than it has been in the past, given Teresa and Joe Giudice’s legal troubles.

Teresa and Joe were indicted this past summer on 39-counts of federal fraud and tax charges that, according to legal experts, may cause them both to serve time in federal prison.

The 39-count indictment details charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud, against the couple.

The indictment also accuses Joe Giudice of failing to file tax returns for 2004 through 2008.

The couple pled not guilty to the charges; however, if convicted Teresa and Joe could each face decades behind bars. Joe even faces being deported to Italy if he is found guilty of just one of the 39 counts in the indictment, prosecutors said — as it emerged recently that he is not a US citizen.

Added to that, Juicy Joe is currently awaiting trial for allegedly impersonating his brother, Pete Giudice, to illegally obtain a driver’s license after his own was suspended for a DWI. He can face up to 10 years in prison for those charges.

The couple will be opening up about their legal woes on a special episode of Watch What Happens Live airing tonight at 9pm EST (Sunday, September 29th) on Bravo. Host Andy Cohen sits down with the reality television stars to discuss their indictment and how they are managing to keep their lives together.

In a sneak preview of the sit-down, an emotional Teresa says she is trying to stay strong for their children.

I can’t fall apart, Andy. I have my daughters, they mean the world to me … maybe something that my daughters can learn from this is that my mom was really strong through all of this and was there for us and I hope they always have that with them,” Teresa said wiping away tears.

Season five of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will come to a close as viewers witness parts of the fireworks that shot off at Kim D’s Posche 2 grand opening.

A brawl involving RHONJ cast members broke out at the event, which took place earlier this year, and footage from that evening will be featured in tonight’s season finale.

Jacqueline Laurita, Chris Laurita and Joe Gorga were all charged with assault following the brawl after a lawsuit was filed by Penny Drossos’s husband,  Johnny Karagiorgis.

According to, a deal was brokered between the cast-members’ lawyers and Johnny Karagiorgis’ attorney this week and the charges were dropped.

A judge signed off on the deal in court on September 26th and dismissed the charges.

Don’t miss the season five finale tonight, Sunday, September 29th, at 8pm EST followed by the Teresa and Joe Giudice Watch What Happens Live special at 9pm EST.

And mark your calendars for the 90-minute Reunion Part 1 on Sunday, October 6th at 8pm EST.

Bethenny Back in Bergen County

On Wednesday August 14, Bethenny Frankel fans lined up early outside of Bookends on Ridgewood Avenue. The small shop is known for bringing in big stars; (we recently saw Wendy Williams there and Billy Crystal will be there signing his book in a few weeks). It’s a shop that has become my personal go to for celeb signings ever since my very first trip to meet Frankel for the first time in 2011.

Let me be honest here,  I don’t often get starstruck,  but a Bethenny sighting is a whole other animal for me.  I’m often asked who my favorite Housewife is and the answer would be this former Housewife, a woman who has taken that platform and ran so far away from it that we often forget she was a Housewife. You see, it was Bethenny and her message of self empowerment and coming from A Place of Yes, that was the entire catalyst for this website and everything that has resulted from it. If the aliens landed in my yard and said ,”Take me to your leader,” it’s to Bethenny Frankel we would go.

Why am I so drunk on the Bethenny Kool Aid? It’s quite simple. I spent many years trying to squash what some would consider a larger than average personality. Holding my tongue for fear of embarrassing myself, or my husband, with my often inappropriate jokes and strong opinions. Bethenny was the first person who made it not only okay, but cool to over share and say the “wrong” thing. She’s the self-professed Queen of TMI. Finally, somebody like me that I could look up to. I was able to let go a little bit and be more myself regardless of what others, including my husband, thought.

On this very night I had an opportunity to tell her this. To thank her for motivating me to go after my dreams by being myself and being honest with myself about what I really wanted out of life. I also had a chance to tell her that, though I landed a job interview with her long awaited talk show, I didn’t get it. Landing that interview I felt was a success itself, like Queen B says “All roads lead to Rome.”

I arrived early and was one of the first 10 fans in line.  I had my speech rehearsed and I spent the 2 hour waiting period reading her new book Skinnygirl Solutions and chatting with other people in line. Frankel arrived a little before 7pm rolling the window of the SUV down and calling to us all. Her assistant Jackie (Lagratta) was outside snapping photos and a rep from the show named Christie was enthusiastically greeting everybody and writing down all of our stories and contact info since we were “local” to the show.

Prior to the signing Bethenny came out and took a group photo with everybody. I heard  a rumor it’s to appear in US Weekly (if anyone sees it please let me know). Then it was time to head inside. I tried to keep my nerves calm as I went over the few points I wanted to make in the thirty seconds I’d have her ear. She was as warm and friendly to each person she greeted as she was two years ago.

When it was my turn to step up I lead in with that first meeting two years ago but she quickly interrupted, “You look very familiar,” she said. “I’m TheBravoBlonde on Twitter,” was about the only thing I could think to say. “Oh my god!” she exclaimed excitedly. I quickly told her that her book encouraged me, that I’m working on launching a foundation, and that I interviewed with her exec producers but didn’t get the job. “You’ll get a better job,” she told me. (I believe this as I think at the time all they had left was PA work.)

I left really excited. Bethenny, my biggest inspiration, recognized me. That was,  as cheesy as it may sound, enough validation to carry me a bit further on my journey. I’ve since been reading Skinnygirl Solutions, though with my hectic schedule it’s a very slow process. The book so far holds my interest. I can clearly hear Bethenny’s voice come through the text. Of course it is peppered with plugs for her products, and Starbucks (either she loves them as much as I do or they gave her a nice endorsement deal). Regardless, I’m enjoying the latest addition to my growing Bethenny book collection. I’ll be heading to see the September 5th taping of her new talk show thanks to a reader who invited me.

The same night as Bethenny’s signing Teresa Giudice, on the tail of a court appearance, was signing her latest cookbook Fabulicious! On The Grill at Kim D’s Wayne, NJ Posche Boutique. Our affiliate the Derek Z Show was there to get the story. Have a peek below!

RHONJ Season 5 Ep 12 “Hair-binger of Doom”

Melissa confronts Jan.

Melissa confronts Jan.

Tre arrives at Mel’s house with sprinkle cupcakes. You’d think they would stay away from sprinkles considering all the problems they caused in the past. Tre gloats about Milania Hair Care which prompts Mel to gloat about her book. Tre is offended that the cover features only Mel. Mel hints that Tre may have something to do with cheating rumors surfacing around the time of the book deal.

Jac is on her way home from her California nip and tuck, and just in time because Chris admittedly has his hands full. Either this is crafty editing or the woman is bionic. She flies home less than a week later and enters her house standing straight and tall. Remember folks, I just had this surgery. I walked bent over like I was 90 for 2 weeks and there was no way I was wearing jeans like Jac. Truth be told, I saw Jac three weeks after her surgery, and Chris confirmed she is bionic.

Rich and Kathy go grocery shopping. Rich brings his obnoxious behavior and Kathy brings her Red Riding Hood meets Scarlett O’Hara costume. Kathy scans the bakery’s cannoli selection. I’m not sure if she wants to buy or tell them she does it better.

A few of the men are out for drinks. Joey wants to know if he should invite Tre to Mel’s birthday vacation. Rich says they are all in a new place since Lake George. Apparently Joey is still not convinced…neither are any of us watching.

The Manzos are all together again; big surprise. Al leaves early to work; bigger surprise. Albie finds what looks like Richie’s glasses stuffed in the couch; biggest surprise. Later Lauren and Vito are having dinner and it seems that a proposal may have been on the menu, until Lauren orders independence. Seems like Vito is now her second priority as she is married to Cafface. Honestly, I get it, she’s young, but it was uncomfortable to see Vito get so upset. Hoping it was producer infused drama.

All the adults meet at a Hookah bar and again there is some sexual tension between Mel and Rosie. Everyone drinks and goes gaga over Jac’s new body parts…blah blah blah.

Tre calls Mel and invites her to the Milania Hair Care launch. She also points out that Jan and Penny will be there, which cues us in that drama is about to commence. One person not invited to the launch is the namesake herself, young Milania Giudice. In her desperate attempt to get a pass to the “adults only” soiree she slides down a bannister with boobs larger than mine. Got to hand it to the kid, for pretend boobs she did a pretty good job, they looked real enough, lopsided but decent for a kid stuffing her T-shirt.

Tre’s makeup artist is helping her get prepared when Kim D comes to visit. Milania answers the door, but Kim fails to notice she suddenly wears a D cup. Gia appears to give Kim the stink eye. As they discuss the night’s potential drama Mel is getting her nails done with her friends and is also discussing the night’s potential drama. Somewhere in this mix Kathy and Caro take a stroll though Hoboken, and I find it more effective than Ambien.

Apprently Caro filled Kathy’s head with all kinds of I am Woman Hear Me Roar and Kathy sticks it to Rich regarding the test kitchen. She refuses to go back and is cooking up a storm in her own kitchen. One; aren’t you supposed to have an industrial kitchen to prepare food for sale and two; why does she prefer to mess up her own house?

After the little Wakile intermission, it is  now time to party for Milania Hair Care. Grab your sunglasses because there are more sequins than there were in that hour of Dance Fever and Solid Gold back in the 80s. Mel confronts Jan who is wearing the worst shade of lipstick to match her tacky neon dress. After Jan decides to walk away, and award Mel an imaginary Oscar, we are treated to Penny. I have no clue how she is relevant or what she is talking about. She’s not friends with Tre, she doesn’t know Mel, this is all to her admission. So how is she involved? If you have the answer please submit because I can’t figure this one out. The only thing Penny seemed to do is exonerate Tre…whom she supposedly doesn’t know.

Only two weeks left to enter…

Next week: Joey finds out where Arizona really is located and Jac finds her soft spot for Tre.
