Reality Roundup

We love Joanna Krupa's transformation, even though it's not as drastic as Bruce (Jennerfer) Jenner's.

According to Andy Cohen via Twitter, the entire cast of Vanderpump Rulesall let Stassi [Shroeder] ‘have it’” during the reunion filming on Friday. At one point, Jax Taylor tweeted “I need a drink so bad this reunion could not be going any worse ….” The SUR staff posted photos after filming wrapped at PUMP and neither Stassi, nor Kristen Doute were present.

Our deepest condolences to Vicki Gunvalson. The Real Housewives of Orange County star lost her mother on Wednesday. The original OC Housewife posted the following tribute on her Instagram page:

“Tonight I received a phone call that is every person’s

worst nightmare. My amazing, beautiful and strong

mother passed on and is now with the love of her life

my father in heaven. I am who I am today because

of her. An amazing cook, organized, bold personality

and had a sense of style and fashion I adored. I miss you

so much mommy! My life will never be the same without

you to give me advice and your wisdom. You were so healthy

and so vibrant, and so beautiful. I still need you. I love you MOM.”

In other unfortunate RHOC news, Radar Online reports that one season wonder Peggy Tanous is not only divorced from husband Micah, but could also soon be homeless. According to Radar, Tanous has missed a whopping 75 mortgage payments on her $840K home, and that she filed for bankruptcy two years ago. Court documents show that Tanous is only bringing in an estimated $30K a year. Her only current income is $2500 per month in checks from her ex, although she has never publicly acknowledged their split. We have interviewed Peggy and she has always remained a friend of TBB ‘s Twitter. If the reports are true, we wish her the best during this trying time.

Caroline Manzo’s son, Christopher Manzo of the Real Housewives of New Jersey had a second chance on Millionaire Matchmaker this week. According to his interview on, he is still single but has dated since appearing on the show.

Real Housewives of Miami gone Beverly Hills Joanna Krupa took to Instagram to show off a new bob this week. The model had her hair cut by dry cut specialist and stylist to the stars, Mika Fowler. The new do is a sophisticated look for Krupa. We love the upgrade! To see more of Mika’s work you can follow her @mikafowler on twitter and @mikafowlerxx on Instagram.

In Million Dollar Listing New York news, Fredrik Eklund and his husband Derek Kaplan have once again listed their Manhattan apartment for sale. The recently renovated, West 27th Street home is on the market for $2,995,000. Fredrik and Luis D. Ortiz also announced that they’ve co-listed a Chelsea Penthouse to the tune of $6 million. We are wondering if this will be seen on the net season of MDLNY.

Good news for GG2D fans: Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce has been renewed for a second season and production is set to begin filming this summer. Bravo‘s first big foray into scripted television has been a big hit.

It appears that Kristen Taekman and Bethenny Frankel are not hitting it off as filming continues for The Real Housewives of New York City. According to Kristen’s interview on Kristen states, “I feel like I was really looking forward to getting to know her,” she tells the New York Daily News, “and at this point I feel like that hasn’t really happened yet in a way that I wanted to.” Will Kristen have a glass of Skinnygirl tossed at her next season? We will have to wait and see.

Southern Charm fans, T. Rav returns to our TVs on March 16. Being a South Carolina resident (Jamie) and quite a fan of Charleston, I love this show and the drama that it brings! Also, I can’t wait to see the rise and fall of Ravenel’s campaign if we’re being totally honest here.

Outside of Bravo TV, network news heavyweight Brian Williams is involved in a scandal that’s becoming sleazier than one of his daughter’s scenes on Girls. The Nightly News anchor and managing editor is stepping away from the news desk at NBC for an undisclosed period of time, following allegations that he lied about his personal experiences and eyewitness accounts. NBC is investigating while Lester Holt will be filling in for Williams.

Last we bring you more news about Bruce Jenner, here on in referred to as Jennerfer. Jennerfer has been a huge topic of conversation over the last few weeks with the reveal that he/she is indeed undergoing a gender metamorphosis. After months of speculation following surgery to remove his Adam’s Apple, the former Olympic athlete and Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has finally come out, or his family pushed him out, of  the gender reassignment closet. Rumored to be filming a docu-series for E!, and revealing his/her process in an exclusive Diane Sawyer interview, Jennerfer already had enough emotional stress. Sadly Jennerfer was involved in a fatal car accident in Malibu, along the Pacific Coast Highway Saturday morning. While he/she walked away without a scratch, the Lexus Jennerfer rear-ended was struck by a Hummer when it was pushed into oncoming traffic, killing the driver. According to TMZ police are obtaining a search warrant for Jennerfer’s cellphone to determine if the accident is a result of texting while driving, which is illegal in the state of California. If it is determined that Jennerfer was texting at the time of the accident, he/she could be charged with vehicular manslaughter.

Welcome to Million Dollar Listing Miami

I’ve always gone against the grain. Historically my road is the road less taken, and most often the one that ends up closed, especially when it comes to television programming. Basically if I really like a show it’s bound to get canceled. I apologize Million Dollar Listing Miami for this kiss of death.

MDLMIA isn’t catching on as quickly with many of our readers, at least not from what you’ve all told me on Twitter. Many of you are partial to the MDL seniors out of LA and NY. I get it, you’ve watched those a few seasons and are invested in the realtors, or the characters the realtors have become. The exact reason why I’m really enjoying the latest installment of the Million Dollar empire.

You see, Miami is still in its infancy. This is the part of Bravo TV that I love. When a series is still about getting to know the cast. It’s when a Reality TV show is the most, for lack of a better word, real. With the MDL shows, it’s also when the real estate is truly front and center. It’s a focus on selling and buying beautiful homes, before the cast gets too entangled in each other’s businesses and the storylines get too contrived.

Just what is it about the series some of you are having trouble connecting with? I know for many seasons we’ve all wondered why not a female agent front and center. Now that we have one it should generate interest. I for one like Samantha DeBianchi (@SamDeBianchi). I find her humbler than the typical Million Dollar Lister. She’s established in the business yet still finding her footing. She’s a bit unsure of herself, a realistic quality for a young woman. She’s real enough to be believable and emotional enough to make good TV.

Too sure of himself is Chad Carroll (@ChadCarollMIA). In typical MDL fashion he’s too cocky, too impulsive, and too good looking. He’s almost swoon worthy…until he does something cheesy like put his picture on a wine bottle and call it Chad-teau. He’s like Josh Altman and Ryan Serhant rolled into one. He’s an arrogant all-American man boy. Suave enough to get the big bucks, but naive enough to blow an entire commission on an Aston Martin before the deal even closes.

Last but not least is Clinton Kelly, I mean Chris Leavitt (@TheChrisLeavitt). There’s nothing to dislike about Chris…except that you keep wanting him to critique his clients’ clothing. For real, close your eyes and suddenly you think it’s What Not Too Wear. He sounds EXACTLY like Clinton! He actually resembles him too. So far there’s really nothing too remarkable about Chris. There’s no whiny meltdowns or showboating like his co-stars. In fact, Chris may be too normal for Reality television. A compliment in the real world, but not so good when you’ve already got a Reality TV gig.

Time will tell if Million Dollar Listing Miami has what it takes to make it. They are following a tough act.  Million Dollar Listing New York just ended a super successful season nabbing an Emmy nomination. I’m hoping this newbie franchise gets the chance it deserves as I see it’s potential and it’s on my weekly watch list. If not, perhaps Chris can find another TV gig as Clinton Kelly’s stunt double…you know for all the risks associated with being on The Chew.

Reality Roundup

On Wednesday The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Stewart made her first official appearance since her marriage split.  Porsha attended the Bravo Upfront Presentations just two weeks after her estranged husband, Kordell Stewart filed for divorce.

Porsha told reporters outside the event that although she is going through a difficult time, her supportive family is helping her get by. “When you have strong arms and strong family around you, they cover you -– that’s what they’re there for,” she said, according to Us Weekly. “So that’s who I’m leaning on. And it’s really a blessing to see people, supporters and fans are standing up and just really showing me the love.”

Now that the third season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has ended, viewers want to know which cast members will be back for season four?! With Camille Grammer and Adrienne Maloof gone and the new rumors surrounding Taylor Armstrong‘s departure, fans of the show want some answers!

One answer is that RHOBH guest-star, Faye Resnick will not be returning. Faye turned down the offer to become a full-time cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills next season, according to RadarOnline.  In fact, Faye does not even want to appear on the show in the future. Resnick’s decision to not return isn’t the only headache producers of the show have to deal with. Part-time Beverly Hills housewife, Marisa Zanuck may not return for Season 4 either.

The newest name to be thrown back into the mix of possible Real Housewives replacements is Lisa Rina, who was reportedly approached to join the cast for season one back in 2011. A source revealed to Radar Online that “Lisa already knows people at Bravo and they really like her. She’s funny but she’s got a great sense of humor so she can send zingers.” Other possible replacements include former Extra host and Plastic Wives star Dayna Devon.

Finally, ratings for part two of the Beverly Hills reunion soared with over 2.1 million viewers at airtime.  Brandi Glanville spilled about her friendships with the Beverly Hills ladies in her latest blog. “Lisa is an amazing human being, mentor, and friend, and Yolanda is the same. I would ‘cut a bitch’ for either on of them. Kyle, Kim, and Taylor can be fun at times but those are the kind of girls you have to watch yourself around.” So what about Adrienne? Did she miss her at the reunion?  “I was relieved that Adrienne [Maloof] didn’t [show], but then again I kind of figured she wouldn’t if she couldn’t bring her lawyer with her.” Ouch!

Bravo has officially announced the renewal of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for a fourth season, The Real Housewives of New York City for a sixth season, The Real Housewives of Miami for a third season and The Real Housewives of Atlanta for a sixth season.

Speaking of RHOA, three of the Georgia Peaches have official spinoffs—including Phaedra Parks! “When the rich and famous of Atlanta have a dispute, they know that only one lawyer will deliver some cold, hard justice: Phaedra Parks of The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” the official description from Bravo reads. “Whether it’s friends battling over an $8,000 loan or accusations of stolen Chanel handbags or confusion over a prenuptial agreement and whether it entitles you to two or three live-in staff members, the rich certainly have an odd sense of what qualifies it as a problem in today’s world, and Phaedra will be there to help them sort it all out.”

Phaedra’s personal life will likely come into play as well in Rich People’s Problems (working title). Phaedra, who is expecting her second child with her husband Apollo Nida, certainly leads a colorful life!

Bravo execs have also ordered new seasons of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles and Million Dollar Listing New York. Top Chef, Top Chef Masters, Tabatha Takes Over and Vanderpump Rules have all been picked up for all new seasons as well. For a full list of the new and returning series, click here.

Fans will also be seeing a lot more of Jeff Lewis on the network! Bravo ordered new seasons of both Flipping Out and Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis. Jeff also landed a third gig on the network in an upcoming new series titled Property Envy. In a recent interview with TV Guide Magazine Jeff spoke about his newest television show. “You already have two property design shows,” the mag stated. “How will Property Envy be different?” “It’s a design and real estate show where I serve on a panel of judges,” Jeff responded. “It’s kind of like Fashion Police, but it’s for design and real estate so it’s fast and funny and quick. You’ll see gorgeous homes and then we guess the prices. And we do a little celebrity real estate.”

So, who else is on the panel?Mary McDonald from Million Dollar Decorators, who is hysterical. It was funny because we did all these chemistry tests and Mary and me really jelled the best. Now the problem is that we’re looking for a third person, and we think we found her. It’s interesting because it’s not exactly who I thought — I thought we all were going to love each other, but we don’t all love each other. I guess that makes for good TV.”

So what shows didn’t get picked up? Unfortunately Bravo has axed most of the new lineup from 2012-2013. In fact the ONLY new show to get a second season is Vanderpump Rules. Second season shows like Kathy and Pregnant in Heels have also claimed their place in Reality TV heaven. Here’s hoping Bravo finds some new winning ideas in the upcoming months.

Teresa and Joe Giudice (Source: Peter Kramer/Bravo/NBCU Photo Bank)

The season five premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is just around the corner! Melissa Gorga, Kathy Wakile, Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice will all be returning for the new season of the series which airs the first week of June according to our sources. However, will all the househusbands return?

There is no end in sight for Joe Giudice’s legal toubles. Husband of RHONJ star Teresa Giudice, Joe, has turned down a plea bargain in light of the identify theft charges against him. Joe allegedly falsely obtained a driver’s license in his brother’s name a few years back after his own license was revoked.

InTouch reports that if Joe had taken the deal, he would have had to serve up to four years in NJ State Prison.  Now, if Joe is found guilty during his court trial, he could be facing up to 10 years behind bars. “Today [April 1] the state offered him NJ State Prison, and we rejected that offer,” Joe’s attorney, Miles Feinstein told the magazine. “Instead, we set a trial scheduling hearing for May 28, since we’re rejecting the new plea offer.”

Two other househusbands, Chris Laurita and Joe Gorga may also be facing some legal trouble. Both were rumored to have been called in for questioning after a brawl at Kim D’s second Posche store opening. Details about the scuffle are all over the net, however having been at the event, filmed for the show, we can’t comment.

Only three of the Real Housewives of New York City attended the Bravo Upfronts on Wednesday night. Carole Radziwill, Ramona Singer and Heather Thompson were the only N.Y. ladies present at the event, leaving LuAnn de Lesseps, Aviva Drescher and Sonja Morgan noticeably absent. So, which of the Big Apple babes will be returning for the upcoming season? The NY Daily News is reporting that Ramona will certainly be back as will Heather and Carole. However, Countess LuAnn, Aviva and Sonja are still under contract negotiations over money although Bravo is still unsure whether or not they want the three ladies to return. “They may want to round out the cast with fresh meat,” a source told Confidenti@l.
